When She Appeared
I’ve been thinking about these two characters for some time and I have been struggling on how to start their story. So what I’ve decided to do is write a series of microfiction detailing their story and maybe I can figure out what to do with these two. Feedback is welcomed. Enjoy.
The doors open and in walks an older man, roughly around my father’s age, dressed in the most ornate outfit with the biggest hat I’ve ever seen. He definitely intends to be the center of attention when he walks into the room. My eyes immediately roll inside my head.
“His Supreme Sultan of Solaria,” his arrival is announced.
Supreme Sultan? Really?
Another eye roll.
“Stop that,” my father grits through his teeth. A heave a long, deep sigh.
I straighten up, presenting my most pleasing smile, in hopes to hide my disdain.
“And his daughter, Princess Yara of Solaria.”
My thoughts are interrupted by the most beautiful woman I’ve even seen walking towards me. She is dressed in the smoothest of silks, caressing her lovely frame, cascading in flowing waves over her perfect body. She draped in the lightest shade of purple, with a swooping neckline, accentuating her ample bosom; her hair pinned to one side with waves of luscious midnight brown falling over her shoulder, while glints of emerald adorn her ears, neck, and crown. She is a sight to behold.
“Your majesty.” The Sultan bows to my father. “Your highness.” He bows to me next. “What an honor to be in your presence again.”
Again? When had we–
“May I introduce you to my daughter, Yara.” He gestures to the beauty beside him as she steps forward.
“Your majesty.” She curtsies to my father, giving me a better view of her beautiful breasts. She rises, before turning to me, “Your highness.” She dips again and I am entranced by her gaze.
“Princess, what a pleasure it is to have you visit our humble kingdom.” I take her hand in mind and plant a chaste kiss upon her delicate fingers. “I do hope you’ll be with us for quite some time.”
A task I shall see to myself.
